Before he was Saint Christopher, he was Reprobus - a man of extraordinary strength searching for the greatest King in existence.
He served an earthly king, until he saw that king fear the Devil. He sought the Devil, until he saw darkness itself recoil before the Cross.
Then Reprobus understood:
There was a King above every king.
Seeking Christ, he was called to carry travelers across a deadly river. One night, among a fierce storm, Reprobus lifted a child onto his shoulders. As the waters raged and lightning struck, the child grew impossibly heavy. Still, he carried Him safely to the other side.
There, the child revealed Himself as Christ:
“You have carried not only the world upon your shoulders, but He who created it.”
From that moment, Reprobus became Christopher - the Christ-Bearer.
PROTECTOR captures him in the storm on the front: Christ upon his shoulders, staff planted, pressing forward against the impossible current. On the reverse, a palm rises from the riverbank - a symbol of the staff Christopher planted in the earth, which by morning had miraculously taken root and borne fruit as a living testament to his faith.
A symbol for the man who understands that true strength is not measured by what he conquers - but by what he is willing to carry, and for whom.
